KS Profile develops profiles that are right for your application from the very start. Based on your drawings, your system, and your schedule. With extremely tight length tolerances and processing built directly into the production line.

We produce in any quantity you need: from small batches to large volumes. Every profile leaves the line ready for assembly. No rework on site, no surprises.

The process

From drawing to profile: here's how it works

Custom work isn't a matter of a standard order with different dimensions. It starts with understanding the application and isn't finished until the profile proves itself on site. That requires a process in which engineering and production feed into each other, rather than simply following one after the other.

Aanvraag & R&D

U brengt de toepassing, wij stellen de vragen. Welke belasting, welk montageprincipe, welke omgeving? Als we dat begrijpen, adviseren onze R&D engineers over welk profiel u nodig heeft. Zij laten u de mogelijkheden rondom het profiel zien en de wijze van produceren. Van inzicht in gatenpatronen en passing in de constructie tot staalkwaliteit per toepassing en fasering per bouwetappe. Hiermee kunt u uw ontwerp nóg verder optimaliseren. Zo komen we samen tot een gedetailleerde specificatie van de profielen waarmee we de volgende stap kunnen zetten.

Opdrachtbevestiging

Wanneer helemaal duidelijk is wat u nodig heeft, doen wij u een aanbieding voor de projectspecifieke profielen, inclusief de projectplanning. Dit is een belangrijk moment want hierin maken we heldere afspraken over deadlines, milestones, kwaliteit en voorwaarden. Na akkoord leggen we deze vast in een opdrachtbevestiging, waarmee we samen een commitment aangaan om uw project tot een succes te maken.

Engineering & werkvoorbereiding

U werkt het ontwerp van uw project uit tot een definitief ontwerp. Onze engineers werken het profiel technisch uit: geometrie, dikte, staalkwaliteit, bewerkingen. In 2D en 3D, met simulaties waar nodig. Het doel is een optimaal profiel dat maakbaar is, precies past en direct toepasbaar is zonder nabewerking. Zodra de specificatie gereed is, engineeren en vervaardigen wij de gereedschappen en bereiden we het kwaliteitsmanagementproces voor uw project voor.

Productie op maat

Engineering en productie zitten onder één dak. Wat ontworpen is, kan ook gemaakt worden. Onze engineers en productielijnen werken direct samen, zonder tussenlagen. Het staal roepen wij af, op maat geslit door ons zusterbedrijf KS Service Center. We installeren en stellen de benodigde gereedschappen in op onze profileerlijnen en starten de productie. Wij produceren met lengtetoleranties tot +/-0,5 mm, met bewerkingen inline in het productieproces. We voeren zowel tijdens als na productie zorgvuldige kwaliteitscontroles uit.

Wij leveren op uw projectplanning, montageklaar verpakt. En als er na levering vragen zijn over het profiel of het montageproces, staan wij u uiteraard graag te woord.

Engineering and production under one roof

At many profile suppliers, design and production are separate processes. Not at KS Profile. Our engineers and production lines work directly together. Whatever is designed can also be made. No miscommunication, no extra lead time.

Access to our own tooling workshop

Every custom profile requires its own tooling. As part of KS Industries, KS Profile has direct access to our sister company KS Manufacturing Technology, the in-house specialists in production technology. This means faster lead times and more control over quality than if tooling had to be sourced or outsourced externally.

Over fifty years of project experience

We know how projects work because we've been right in the middle of them for more than fifty years. What questions come up, where things can go wrong, what a system integrator or structural engineer really needs. That knowledge lives in our people, not in our machines.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about custom work

Isn't custom work much more expensive than a standard profile?

For simple applications, a standard profile can be sufficient, and that's also the sensible choice. But as soon as a project becomes more complex, requires a specific geometry or steel grade, or would require rework on site, the added cost of custom work rarely outweighs what you gain in quality, fit, and ease of assembly. On top of that, an efficiently designed custom profile often requires less steel than a standard profile. This translates directly into lower material costs. We're happy to think along with you about what makes sense in your situation.

Does KS Profile no longer supply standard profiles?

Of course we do. For the projects and applications you already know us for, we're still here. Your dedicated point of contact can also help you with standard orders. Custom work is our specialty, but it's not a requirement for working with us.

From what volume does custom work become cost-effective?

Custom work isn't reserved for large series. Because we have our sister company KS Manufacturing Technology make the tooling, we can also produce cost-effectively at smaller volumes. What the threshold is depends on the complexity of the profile. We're happy to discuss that based on your specific request.

How long does it take to produce a custom profile?

Thanks to our own in-house tooling workshop, we can start production quickly for most custom profiles once the final specification is confirmed. You'll receive a specific lead time with your inquiry, and for urgent project requests, we're happy to explore what's feasible.

Can I have my existing profile from another supplier reproduced?

Yes. Based on your drawings, samples, or specifications, we can produce an equivalent profile. We're also happy to advise on any improvements in geometry or dimensions that could benefit the application.
