Profile engineering and production are under one roof, with short lines of communication and no noise between design and execution. In addition, we bring together knowledge of high-strength steel, complex roll forming techniques and the latest sustainability requirements. Inquiry & R&D

You share your profile drawings, requirements and schedule. Our R&D engineers think along on shape, hole patterns, fit within the system, steel grade and phasing. We optimize your design wherever possible. Together, we achieve the best result.

Order confirmation

You receive a quotation for the project-specific profiles. Agreements on deadlines, milestones, quality and terms are recorded in an order confirmation: a shared commitment to make your warehouse project a success.

Engineering & work preparation

You develop your warehouse design into a final design. We align profile geometry, tolerances and material selection with your system, whether that is a pallet system, miniload, shuttle or high-bay warehouse. We then engineer and manufacture the tooling where needed and prepare your project.

Production

Warehousing projects call for a multitude of uprights, pallet beams, rail profiles and bracing: each with its own specs. We produce a wide range of profile types per project, with length tolerances that make the difference on site between installing straight away and reworking. We carry out careful quality checks during and after production.

Project logistics

You receive the profiles packed and ready for installation, exactly according to your project schedule: the right profiles, in the right order, at the right time. This allows your installation crew to keep working and prevents failure costs on site.

Every warehousing project has its own set of profiles. Different dimensions, different hole patterns, different steel grades. KS Profile produces that variation without compromising on lead time or tolerance. Processes such as punching, perforating, and hole-pattern work are built directly into the production line. This means every profile leaves the line ready for assembly, with no rework needed on site.

The questions we get asked most

Can you supply profiles that fit an existing system from another supplier?

Yes. We regularly work with drawings and specifications from existing systems. Based on your dimensions, hole pattern, and steel grade, we produce a profile that fits seamlessly, even if the original comes from a different manufacturer.

What are your length tolerances?

We produce with very tight length tolerances whenever the application calls for it. In systems where dozens or even hundreds of profiles need to connect precisely, this prevents

Can you handle the variation a large warehousing project requires?

Yes. We produce on a project basis, which means we deliver different profile types in the right order and phasing. Your installation team receives the right profiles at the right time.

What's your lead time for custom work?

That depends on the complexity. Because we have our sister company KS Manufacturing Technology make the tooling, we can start production quickly for most custom profiles once the final specification is confirmed. You'll receive a specific lead time with your inquiry, and for urgent project requests, we're happy to explore what's feasible.

Why cold-formed steel profiles instead of hot-rolled profiles?

Cold-formed profiles are produced without heating, which results in more precise dimensions, a smoother surface, and better dimensional consistency. For warehousing structures, that means tighter tolerances, less rework, and a lighter final weight at equivalent strength. This makes them ideally suited to the repetitive, stacked structures found in warehouses and racking systems.

What racking systems and technologies do you have experience with?

KS Profile has extensive experience with profiles for pallet racking, miniload and shuttle systems, satellite systems, and high-bay warehouses with automated storage. We supply uprights, beams, rail profiles, bracing, and side guide profiles, among others. We're happy to discuss which specific systems and certification requirements apply, based on your project.

Do you also supply projects outside the Netherlands?

Yes. KS Profile supplies warehousing projects worldwide. We work with chain partners for storage, transport, and on-site incoming inspection, so profiles are available exactly when needed, anywhere in the world. Project logistics is a standard part of how we work.

Sustainability

Sustainable building starts with the right choices

At KS Profile, sustainability starts with the profile itself. By engineering profiles efficiently, less steel is often needed without compromising on strength, span, or functionality. That reduces material use.

Cold-forming is also a more energy-efficient process than hot-rolling. These factors directly contribute to the CO₂ performance of your profile choice. For an extra-low CO₂ footprint, you can have your profiles produced in Sustainable Steel.

We can provide an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for every profile. If you're bidding on tenders with ESG or CO₂ requirements, this can make all the difference: without verifiable environmental data, projects are increasingly rejected by governments and large corporates.
